What we collect
When you create a Wasiku account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, organization details, and login information. When you use Wasiku Ask, we may process WhatsApp conversations, customer requests, orders, form answers, file uploads, payment proof, service-case history, staff details, and delivery records. We also collect limited technical and usage information needed to secure, operate, and improve the service.
Your customers' data
For customer data that a business uploads to or collects through Wasiku Ask, that business is generally the data controller: it decides why and how the data is used. Wasiku acts as a service provider and processes that data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the services requested by the business. Businesses are responsible for giving their customers an appropriate privacy notice and for collecting data lawfully.
How we use it
We use your information to operate the platform, deliver your messages, process your payments, and send you important account notifications. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use your contacts for any purpose other than delivering the messages you ask us to send.
Service providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate Wasiku, such as cloud hosting and database providers, authentication providers, payment processors, email providers, and WhatsApp or messaging infrastructure providers. They may process data only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to appropriate safeguards.
How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and organisation-level separation. No system can promise absolute security, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, investigate incidents, and take appropriate action when an issue is identified.
Retention, export and deletion
We retain account and workspace data for as long as needed to provide Wasiku, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security records. Businesses can export important workspace records from the platform. On account closure, request deletion at privacy@wasiku.com; some information may be retained where required for legitimate security, legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and may object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@wasiku.com from the address associated with your account. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
Opt-outs
Any contact who replies STOP to a message is immediately removed from future sends. This happens automatically, with no action needed from you. You can also manually opt out any contact from your dashboard at any time.
Changes and incidents
We may update this policy as Wasiku evolves. We will publish the new version here and update the date above. If a personal-data incident requires notification under applicable law, we will take the steps required to investigate, contain, and notify affected parties.
